Home from tour!!! Work on new album resumes and show at LAB in Asheville on Friday, May 11th!

It’s been a long journey, friends, and we’ve finally arrived back in Western NC!!! This has been without a doubt the best tour we have been on, EVER, and we owe so much to all the friends and fans who have come out to support, told their friends, and been super rowdy at every show. We love you!!!!

As much as we’d like to just sit around all day, eating chocolates and watching “The View”, there is no rest for the weary… We’ve already reassembled the studio and production on our new album is up and running again! We’ll be sharing some studio picks and sneak peeks at some tracks soon. Also, we were thinking about album titles…. hmmmm….. there are just too many to definitely decide on one! What we might do is pick 5 of our favorite potential titles and put it to YOU for the official one. Make sure you like the band on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to get notified about the interactive quest for album title!

From the studio to the stage, we have a show this Friday, May 11th at Lexington Ave. Brewery in Asheville, NC to celebrate our return home and to showcase two fabulous bands; Hudson K from Knoxville, TN and Night’s Bright Colors right here from Ashevegas! The show starts at 10 pm and is only FIVE BUCKS! We go on at 10 pm and will go until 10:50 so you can swing by for a minute and check us out or stay for the whole thing (preferred). Finally, we leave you with some super awesome pictures from our show at The New England Brewing Co. in CT last Friday. These photos were taken by Rob Waterman; check him out!!! It took us a day off (finally!) to sit back and realize that we have been ALL over this country since we left home! I know there’s a couple spots we’ve visited before that look awful lonely on this map, but, have no fear, we’re only going to be home for a month before we hit the road to see everyone again!

We’ve been soooooo busy playing our way across the US for the past few weeks. Tour has been phenomenal! We continue to be overwhelmed by the support, energy, and love from our friends, new and old, that we’ve been playing for every night. We’ve been meeting friends of friends, sent to our shows from their friends who saw us before. We LOVE that! Big, big thanks to everyone who’s helping to spread the word about the noises we make.

We had a BLAST last night at Founder’s Brewing Co.’s Black Party. Playing for 500+ awesome, riled-up folks drinking porters, stouts, black IPAs was just downright FUN! More details to come…

We are stoked about our show tonight in Gold Hill, CO. In fact, after a couple cups of coffee today, we wrote a rap about it. Then we posted up in a parking lot and recorded it in the van. Then we synced it with a video. The result is here for your enjoyment.

No Sacramento Show 4/4/12 :(

We don’t cancel shows. Unfortunately, we can’t speak for the occasional inconsiderate, scatter-brained venue. (Although we did cancel one show a long time ago when half the band was in the hospital with severe pneumonia for 5 days…) So, because of circumstances out of our control, there will be no StereoF noises at Marilyn’s on K in Sacramento tonight. We are very sorry this happened; I already had my outfit picked out for the show tonight. Frownie face. We try very hard to schedule shows at venues that do not partake in this kind of trickeration, but we got TRICKED this time. We were holding out in the hopes that we could move the show to another venue last-minute-style, but no such luck. Another frownie face. We still love all of you central CA folks oodles and hope you still love us.

First spring tour update!!!

Knock on something, but it has been downright gorgeous weather for the first little stretch of this trip. And not even April yet!!! We HAVE been pretty far South, so I guess that’s to be expected, but still pretty nice! We have seen a few really amazing mustaches (the full gallery will be up at the completion of this tour) and even more amazing folks Our first evening out in Athens, GA was a long night of lots of fun. Danny Butler from Dawgs Nightlife (as in, the Georgia bullDAWGS) took some really standout shots of us playin tunes; here’s a few of them.

Saturday took us down to Jackson, MS (first time!) where we played in a complex surrounded by razor wire, had an entire cooler of PBR onstage just for us, met some great friends-of-friends, and wrapped up the evening with a Whataburger stop. We always have fun.
Sunday was our first time in Little Rock, AR and we got lucky to team up with Echo Canyon and have the evening and sound run by production manager/Sounguy extraordinaire, Maestro. When I say “extraordinaire,” that doesn’t even begin to describe the personality and pizzazz that he brought to the evening–you couldn’t NOT have a good time!
Monday had us back in familiar territory at Kirby’s in Wichita, KS. We were greeted (well, I was, because I went in there) by some nice-graffiti on our show poster in the girls’ bathroom.

(and that second one is “yah,” like “yeah” without the E. Not “ya.” I think.)
Yesterday we took a leisurely drive across SW Kansas into SE Colorado before stopping for some camping on our first night off.

The hot dogs (pictured) were delicious. Especially the part of the burnt stick that got stuck in mine. Mmmmm charcoal… We even saw a howling wolf mosaic at a rest area. Perfect.

Spring US Mustache Tour has begun!

Wait, what? A mustache tour, you say? That’s right. The purpose of this tour is to collect mustaches from across our fair country. Well, not really; the real purpose is to play good music and bring fun to as many people as possible. The mustache-collecting is an important side-adventure. Here’s how it’s gonna work: if you have an awesome mustache (and I mean awesome–guys and girls!) and come to a show of ours on this tour, WE WANT OUR PICTURE WITH YOU!!!! We’ll post in on this here blog (if thats ok with you) and give you a super-spectacular StereoFidelics mustache comb, our love, adoration, and FINALLY you’ll get the recognition you deserve for cultivating such a fine piece of hair-art!
To commemorate this coast-to-coast adventure, Chris began growing his mustache yesterday (Day 1) so he’ll have a full, tour-sized lip toupee by the time we wind up back home in NC. No cheating and pre-tour growing–this baby’s gonna be a ‘stache that’s seen many a PBR and rocked out almost every day of its life. A true road warrior of a mustache. Also, we’ve printed up some pretty cool commemorative Mustache Tour tee shirts just for this tour!

We’ll have them up in our online store in a couple days and, of course, we’ll have them at every show.
We’re looking forward to seeing what you’ve got on your upper lip, America!

First off, big-fat-sloppy thanks to everyone who came out to support on our Winter Tour. Except for some of the worst weather imaginable it was one of the best runs we’ve had, period, so y’all are awesome! While traveling we were longingly checking the warm weather back in sweet, warm NC… seeing days approaching the mid-seveties, while we were amputating toes… We get home last night to find… what? a blustery night in the upper 20s with high winds and doodoo in its soul, that’s what! Whatever.

Tonight begins a race against the tour clock to record our next studio album (which we’re super jacked about, b-t-dub). We will be working diligently to bring you the finest of original, independent music that doesn’t sound like shit and making sure to do so in a timely fashion. You will be seeing a lot more updates to this page so keep checking back as we will be sneaking previews of the album, studio pictures, and other things related to the haps attendant to aforementioned studio project. That’s all for now, much more to come…

Winter tour officially being awesome!

Winter tour has been STELLAR so far! We rocked out Bristol, TN not once, but TWICE to kick this whole trek off. Then we wandered up through the Funhouse in Bethlehem, PA (where one ventures to have fun in those parts–Thursday night was no exception). Things started to get a little bit chillier as we crossed into NY state for a stop at the Cyber Cafe West in Binghamton (always one of our favorite spots!) and then up up up into Vermont! We’ve drawn some pictures of the adventures we had on Saturday…

So, we did get to the ‘Shoe–just in time–because of Chris’ awesome driving skills and the general bad-assery of our van in general (that’s why he got top billing in the cartoon). We had a great time (big SUPER-thanks to Johnny from JLB sound for bringing his thumping-ly amazing sound system and running it all night and to the Snowshoe Crew for the HEIDI HATS!!!!) and made the short jaunt over to Jay Peak on Sunday. Our show at Jay Peak even ended in fireworks!!!!

All in all, the best part of this tour so far has been the amazing folks who have helped us lug gear through the snow, danced up a STORM to our new tunes, had fun so that we have even MORE fun, and have come out and been so supportive. BIG thanks to all our friends we’ve seen this week!!!

Shows and shows and shows…

With that dirty bitch January out of the way, we are one step closer to warmer weather and full-time touring. We have recently emerged from our cave and are prepping for some NC area shows over the next week followed by our Northeast Mini Tour starting February 21st and ending March 4th. We’ll be doing a four day stint at Bob 7′s Artoreum in Candler, NC February 10th through the 14th as part of LaZoom Tours ‘Let Your Love Roll.” Then Friday, February 17th has us returning to Evening Muse in Charlotte, NC followed by a show at one of Asheville’s newest hip music rooms, The One Stop, on February 18th. Check out our tour schedule for all details about these shows as well as the upcoming NE tour and nationwide tour that starts in March.
